I always feel like my words and thoughts are "too much" or just overlooked with an explanation of why I shouldn't think that way. I'm talking anti-racism, COVID, white people mess, Short Lanes shooting Meg, etc. I am always told my opinion is always "too strong", to look outside of the box, take a black man's perspective, or I am too passionate about it. I also have this ability to turn pain and annoyance into laughs and I'll always get a joke off.
I couldn't sleep one night and created Black Women Venting: An anonymous space where black women can vent. Go take a look here or on Instagram at @blackwomenventing and if you'd like to drop a thought, you can share anonymously.
As Black Women, we take everything on and keep going. Where is our safe space? Where is our ear? Come to vent, read, like, share or just be. Just be that: A Black Woman
-Sincerely A Black Woman Venting
